BOLSHEVISM AT PARIS.

A DISTURBING MANIFESTATION,

SERIOUS RIOTS ON SUNDiAY.

(Australian and N.Z. Cable .^sociation)

(Received April 10, 11.55 p.m.)

. . . London, April 8. A disturbing symptom developed at a procession in Paris on Sunday, intended as a Jaures demonstration. There were fully 100,000 people Tn the procession singing the "Internationale" and hooting M. Clemenceau and landing Lenin and Trotzky. This was doubtless due to the anarchist element. Six policemen were stabbed at the outset, while endeavouring to confiscate the anarchists' Black Flag!, The crowds stoned arid otherwise attacked the police. In another quarter over thirty were injured, some seriously. ' A Socialist writer in the newspaper l(Battaile" describes the demonstration as merely a preface. .The workers are able to organise for the coming social action.
