36 CASES IN FOUR DAYS.

Wellington, lApril 10. The Minister of Public Health stated to-night that from noon on Monday until noon to-day 27 cases of influenza were reported in Auckland Hospital district, three of -which (in Waikato) were severe and one terminated fatally. All the rest were mild, including eleven in Auckland City. During the" same period six cases, all mild, were reported in Otago hospital district and three in Canterbury. Dr. Chesson, port health officer, of Lyttelton, reported to-night that the Koromiko arrived there from Newcastle with two cases of influenza on board. The vessel has been quarantined.
