NO CAUSE FOR ALARM.

Christchurch, April 7. A few cases of influenza afe being reported in the Canterbury and Westland public health district from week to week, but there is absolutely nothing in the position to warrant fears that ;the epidemic is recurring. In the week ended at noon to-day four cases of influenza were reported in the Canterbury and Westland public health district. All four were in the North Canterbury Hospital Board's area; two were mild and the other two pneumonic. During the month, of March there were only twentythree notifications of influenza throughout Canterbury and Westland, and almost alls these eases were mild.
