Best quality ewes sold well, and the market lor wethers remained steady at late rates, and there was a good demand for ronvard lambs. 'Hg of Btore cattle came forward. -The quali fey - was rather indifferent. Twoyear heifers £7, two and a-haJf year sleojfs £8 25,-dry cows £6 to £10, threeyear steers £10 16s to £11 ss. There was a large entry of dairy cows. Tho quality was mixed. First calves made £7 to £15, second calves £10 to <£16, older oows £9 10s.

Pjgs.--A medium entry of fat pigs was received, and there was a good demano. Choppers £5 to £9 12s 6d/ extra heavy baeonors £7, baconcrs £6 to £7, medium £5 to £5 15s (equal to 9jjd oor lb.); best porkers 75s to 995, medium 60s to 70s (equal to 10id per lb). A small entry of stores was received, but 'the dpmmid was slacu. Best stores £3 to £3 IDs, medium 42s to 545, small-80s-to3&s. ■
