TADMOR.
October 7th. A very pleasant dance was held at the Tadmor Hall oh the 2nd inst., to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs S. Wells, who are leaving to take up their residence at Waimea West/ Mr. Wells has for many years taken a prominent part in all ■ public matters in the- district as a member of the School Committee, Oddfellows' Lodge, and Farmers' Union, and the large and representative gathering showed how I thoroughly his1 efforts are appreciated. After the supper adjournment, Mr. Moffitt, on behalf of their Tadmor friends, presented Mr. and Mrs.. Wells with a handsome silver tea set, on a mounted oak tray, as a slight mark of the esteem in which they are hold by all, and everybody united in wishing them and their family good luck and prosperity in their new home.
