. The memory of th& late LanceCorporai J. H. Vosper was kept specially in mind fit the services at All, Saints' Church yesterday The Rev. Williams, at the organ, played the Dead March in "Saul" at both services, in a masterly manner. The lata Lance-Corporal Vosper was the second son of Mr T. Vosper, of Vanguard street. He was born in Nelson in 1897, and was connected with All Sajnts' Church from his boyhood. Leaving with the Twentieth Reinforcements, he was killed in action in France on September 12th.

News lias been received by cable that LieuteHaiit Eric G. Stubbs died of wounds in France on 3rd October. Lieutenant Stu'bbs was the only son of Mr and Mrs Charles Stubbs, of Karori, in which suburb he was born about 24 years ago. He was educated at the local school and Wellington College, and subsequently entered the service of Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co. Later on he went in for fruit farming m the Tasman (Nelson) district. He enlisted as soon as the war broke out. He for some time held a commission as lieutenant in the 12th Canterbury Regiment, and on active service was in command of the Wellington Company of the New Zealand Machine-gun Battalion, in which position he proved himself a capable officer and a gallant soldier. c .

Sergeant E. H. (Ernie) Dodd, killed in action, was the only son of My F. H. Dodd, for many 77ears a prominent oSicial of the New Zealand Telegraph Department. Sergeant Dodd was one of New Zealand's foremost footballers a few years ago, and had represented Wellington, the North Island, and New Zealand. He was an old boy of Wellnigton College, and was a grandson of the late Mr Henry Dodd, MiP. for Wairau for a number of years. Mrs M. B. Esson, oJ Christcuurch. k the deceased's only sister. Mv F. £1., Dodd " was for some years officer in charge at Cable Bay.
