OWNERS' PROPOSALS.
"ACCEPTED AT KAITANGATA

In an address at Kaitangata on Tuesday night, Air P. x \ivon a member of the executive, of the Coaiminers' federation, stated that the owners had agreed to inciease wages 7-J- per cent, to piece-workers and 10 per* cent, to wages men. A ballot was taken of Kaitangata miners o.i Wednesday, in 158 votes in favour of accepting the oW-i ers proposals and 43 against the offer.
