MESSAGE FROM LORD READING
PRUSSIAN DREAM BANISHED

New York, Sept. 4. The United States delivered 66 ships
in August, of which 45 were of steel The total tonnage was 340,000.
Lord Reading sent a message to the War Exhibition at Chicago, stating:— "The Prussian dream of world mastery has been banished because of the individual sacrifice and collective bravery of the Allies' armies. If evjgryone will work hard during the coming months Germany is certain to be decisively beaten, and the world remodelled on the principles of security, justice and freedom; and the forces of violence and autocracy will be swept away."
