GERMANS FALLING BACK FAST.

Reuters correspondent at French Headquarters writes: —The Germans are falling back "between the Somme and the ' Oise before the armies of Generals De- ■ heney and Humbert. This morning our advanced cavalry were little more than a mile from Guiscard. General Mangin's troops are also advancing, and have worked up to the edge of the rajvine adjacent to the important Laffaux plateau. There are numerous signs ,that the Germans are preparing to ■withdraw from the Vesle sector, prob- ' ably to .the old fortified line crossing the lAisne from Juvincourt ,to Rheims. Fires ; behind the German front on the Vesle are reported in increasing numbers.
