The Canadians repulsed ;a counterattack against the new positions gained this morning northward .of Hendeeourti ° Our progress contdinHed in the hens and I/ys sectors. We reached Doulieu, Le terrier, and Steemverck, and ;are. engaging the enemy -at Neuve Eglise, and Wulyerghem. . ; During August we captured 57,318 ; prisoners, of whom 1283 were officers, and took 657 guns, Including 150 heavy giyis, besides 5750 maeTiine, .gu-as and 100© trench mortal's. Other captures included three trains, nine :locoTnoiav«s, and numerous complete ammunition anS engineer dumpß containing many 'hundred thousand rounds of gun and small arms ammunition, and immense quantities of other war material..
