The Australians captured PeronKo.
After beating off enemy counter-at-tacks at Mont St.. Ouentin last night, the Australians this morning renew- j ed the advance in conjunction with the j English on their left. The Australians j soon stormed the German positions west and north of Peronne, and pressed on1 while fierce fighting continued among the ruined streets and buildings, and carried the eastern suburbs. The Australian's hold P eronno. Fla-j mincourb, and St. Denis, and have! made progress on the spurs east and' north-cast of Mont St. Qucntiu.. On the Australians' left London regiments attacked south-east of Combles, and took Bouchavcsnos and Rancourt, with high ground overlooking them, and reached the western outskirts of St. Pierre Vaast Wood. ' The English ' and Australians overcame stiff opposition and took 2000 prisoners and a fow guns.
