(Received Jan. 28, 8.35 p.m.) Brisbane, Jan. 27. All efforts to reach Mackay and thei isolated district have so far proved i'u-» tile. It is understood ttat Bowen missetf the cyclone, but traffic is interrupted by floods. Bridges are washed away* and the telegraphic dislocation con-, tinues. The Cloncurry district is now iscn lated. The Federal Government has donated! £5000 for relief purposes.
