It is stated that since the Defence Department took control of tlie canteen at Featherston tic usual practice of plac-ing sugar and milk on the counter has been dispensed with. The boys now have their tea "milked" and "sugared" to suit those yi control. It is also stated that the canteen money earned up to November 19th, whicb averaged 19s 6d- per man, has been paid out in tickets which cannot be cashed.
