Mrs W. Terriss, of Tahuna, has received a. further, cable stating that Private T. Loftus Chapman was admitted to the Bethnal Green Military Hospital on December 28th, his condition bein"serious. "
Mr W. Downie Stewart, M.P., who is at present staying at the ,J3lue Mountains, New South _Wales, expects to return to Dunodin in February.
A Press Association message from Invereargill states that Mr Palmer Gore, manager of the Albion Pictures, died suddenly. He had a slight heart seizure on the previous evening, but remained on duty, for many yeans the late Mr Gore was associated with the Hay ward Proprietary.
