TAKAKA.
GOLDEN BAY A. AND P. SHOW
The entries received for tr c fortlicomiug A. and P. show, to be held at Takaka on February Ist next, quite come lip to expectations. All classes of exhibits show entries quite equal to the standard of previous years', while the tent exhibits, which embrace vegetables, fruit, flowers and domestic produce, show an increase of 270 entries over last years. :Ti-e stewards anticipate that tiie staging capacity of the large building devoted to these classes will be inadequate for the occasion. Great interest should be taken in the horse events, especially the jumping competitions, for which entries have been received from such well known exhibitors as Messrs. Berryman, of Kohatu, Newman Bros., Nelson, and other owners of classy horses. Mr. W. F. Massey, Premier, who has promised to be present at the show, has booked a car in Nelson for four passengers to make the journey over the hills, An additional interest will be added to the function by the Premier's presence.
The weather has been real mid-sum-mer in character the last few days, and hopes are centred .in its remaining [To long enough to get through our festivities1. Car seats and hotel accommodation are being booked up already, and bumper) crowds are expected for both show and i races. I
