MOUTERE FRUITGROWERS' ASSOCIATION.
The monthly meeting of the Moutere Fruitgrowers' Association was held at the Jubilee Hall, Lower Moutere, on the 21st January. The president, Mr. R. P. Hudson, M.P., occupied the chair, and there was a fair attendance of. members.
Correspondence was read from the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation regarding oil and other spraying material.
The chairman stated that he had airways opposed the federation as at present constituted becoming a trading body, and he still adhered to that attitude. They, however, had the federation's price list before them, and it was for members to decide individually what they should do. The committee had empowered the secretary to employ an assistant to look after tie obtaining of supplies.
Some discussion took place regarding spraying materials, and particularly oil. It was finally resolved on the motion of Mr. A. Herrick, seconded by Mr. Flett, "That the committee make further inquiries."
It was' resolved that future meetings should be held at the Jubilee Hall, Lower Moutere, at 7.30 p.m., on the third Wednesday of each month.
It was resolved on tie motion of Mr. Hudson, seconded by Mr. C. H. Mackay, "That while all business advantages be confined to members of the association, the outside public be cordially invited to all general meetings'." • . ..
A further resolution decided: "That at the meeting in February a discussion on spraying materials be held, and that the orchard instructor be specially invited to be present."
