FINE WEATHER.
EXTENSIVE BOMB DROPPING

Sir Douglas Haig reports fine -weather and an improvement in visibility. On Sunday there was much artillery observation work, and four tons of bombs were dropped on aerodromes near Courtrai and Rpulers, and on a big gun position near Douai. Ttreo tons were dropped during the night on Roulers and Lichtervolde railway stations, where fires started, .as well as at the above mentioned aerodromes.
One pilot reaching an ae-rodrome as enemy night bombing machines were leaving, dropped bombs amongst tlem.
There has been heavy air fighting, chiefly well over the enemy's lino. Sixteen hostile machines Y*ere brouglt down, and eight of ours are missing, including a night bomber.
The naval -squadrons attached to the Army have been figtting . throughout these operation.^;, and have accounted tor a large share of the machines brought down.
The Australian squadrons,uiwfco have been training, have commenced active work, and have already proved themselves worthy of the high opinion formed of ttem on their arrival.
