Wellington, Oct. 17. The Public Petitions Committee reported to the House of Representatives to-day on the petition of John S. Meikle for compensation for injuries alleged to have been sustained by him. The committee had.no recommendation to make. A sjnnlar decision was given on Mcikle's petition praying for inquiry into the conduct of certain persons before the Meikle Royal Commission.
