ANNUAL MEETING

j The annual meeting of the Nelson De- : fence Rifle Club was held at Stallard's yooms last night, when the Mayor (Mr W. W. Snodgrass), one of the patrons of the club, occupied the chair. The president (Mr J. \V. Milroy) prej scnted the annual report. J Messrs S. Y./Wearing and A. Thompi; son were elected.as new members. | Tlie election of officers resulted as. follows:— Chief patron, Hon. A. T. Maginnity, M.L.C.; patrons, Messrs H. It. ! Duncan L. Kerr, W. W. Suodgrass, iT. A. H. Field, M.P., H. J. Harris, and: !C, 11. Fell, Dr. V. H. Barr. Messrs F. !W. Hamilton, and E. E. Trask, and Dr. W. 1). S. Johnston; president, Mr J. W. Milroy ; vice-president, Mr F.
