BEST FED ARMY.

London, Sept. 9. Mr Keith Murdoch, the Sydney "Sun's" special representative in London, cabled *a& follows from Anzac Headquarters:—

' 'Accompanied. by a general I inspected the -cookery.-arrangements of a division -which had been reorganised by Lieutenant Schuler before he was killed. Thereis full justice in the British claims that no army was ever fed so well as this. The introduction of large' mincing machines, for each cooker, is the secret of 'General Cook's' success. An extraordinary variety of mincers has "been secured for making puddings and cakes from army _ biscuits, and tasty brawn from bully-beef. The men get a meat issue three times daily and seem well satisfied ---with the quantities and. quality of the food, to which their radiant health pays a tribute. A major has invented a trunch ,o"en-which,has been adopted throughout the A.I.F. for the. winter. The A.I.F. now holds the lowest record for sick and evacuations throughout, the Army."
