His gun espiodedj and Ulsen leceived tlio cliarge in the back and hips. With great difficulty Wahrlicli got the wounded man "back to xaurikura, a distance of iwo miles/ but he expired two hours later.
Cambridge, May 14. An inquest was held on Sunday night regarding the death of John Billings, aged 33 years, who was found, dead on the road at Leamington on Saturday afternoon. The evidence showed that Billings was observed leaving his house witn a shot-gun, and when on the roadside pointed the weapon at his face and fired both bairels. Two boys saw the deed, but. when they oarne up to the man he was deacl. The deceased iiad been suffering from nose troubles., which ho erroneously thought serious, and was much depressed. A verdict that the deceased committed suicide while in an unsound state of mind was returned.
