A torpedo from a submarine narrowly missed the liner Baltic on April 19th while en route for New York.
An American liner arrived' to-day painted with white waves1 with leaded background to resemble the water.
A passenger saw a cruiser off the English coast firing' at a U boat. He did not see the result.
