Correspondents at British Headquarters state that the Scottish have secured a firmer grip on the llindonburg line at Bullecourt. They l:ave captured the corner of the viJi.i^e, Urns linking up with the Australians in the liindenburg trendies.
Mr Philip Gibbs writes^.on Tuesday, evening that the enemy's gutirife frt in Loos,to Lens and to the southward was very heavy throughout the nigUt. They launched a violent cou,nter-attack against the new line which the Canadians captured at Fresnoy.
Further south the Scots at Bullecourt are fighting at close quarters, mainly with bombs, routing the enemy down their trenches and out of the village. Elsewhere there have been small night raids, accompanied by the heaviest artillery fire.
