Wellington, Feb. 18

Walter "Whitrod, single, a watersider, committed suicide iv a determined manler. He had been unsettled lately. His mother felt anxious, and kept a watch, but while she was speaking to a visitor in the afternoon, Whitrod went to the bathroom and locked the door. When tiiis was broken open he was found with several cuts on the back of his hands and on the arm, severing blood vessels. The man was removed to the Hospital, and died to-night.
