A UNIQTJE CONCERT.

AVriting from London on April 28th, an Anckhiiider says:—l am enclosing with this note v concert programme that speaks for itself. It may prove of interest to-the Auckland public as* showing the interest of the "stars" of the music-hall profession in our sick land wounded. They arrived bright, cheer}' and lively, although all had a hard night's work to .do afterwards. Eugene Stratton at the close thanked the "fcoys" for having given them the privilege and pleasure of appearing before them. He put it rather neatly. It was all owing to "Tommy" that the, profession was in a position to earn its bread and 'butter, and it was only the duty and right of the profession to return thanks in some measure "for what we have'received." It would tax the pocket of an American millionaire-to .put! up such a programme for his guests. ! They brought along with them smokes for the men and bouquets for the sisters of the hospital. Two or .three of the patients got hysterical seizures through cm unexpected flashlight photo, and had to be carried out. You see this hospital is devoted entirely to the treatment of nervous cases, some 250, and a recent- W. O. order is to the effect that ali serious cases of nervous breakdown, etc., etc., (are to be sent here for treatment, and not kept in the ordinary military hospitals, so that we are always full. I was transferred here from the Boyal Herbert Hospital, at Woolwich, a opuple of months ago, »as neurologist to the institution. *, When I shall return to Auckland egain is quite uncertain.
