APPEAL BY THE EXECUTIVE.
DEFERRED PAYMENTS
Tho Executive of the Silver Bullet Cannonade feel that, notwithstanding the publicity which has been given, donors to the- fund do not fully appreciate the fact that- donations may be spread over a period of two years. They put it this way:—A.donor may be prepared to give £50 down, but Tie would like to contribute a, greater amount. To meet such cases the Executive have ar- i ranged to take promissory notes spread over the jfefiod.of two years. . If the present effort is successful no <»11 on 'behalf of the Sick and Wounded Soldiers' Fund will be me.de for two years fragn date. Some, of the donors whose coHOTibutions have been acknowledged have given, say, one-fourth of their donation in cash and spread the balance over 'the period mentioned. The Executive feel tb at if this fact was more*"generally known and appreciated a number of contributions would be increased in amount, and they, appeal to those in the happy position of being able to contribute substantial .amounts to bear in mind the system'of defened pa.yfments.
