THE RAINFALL.
The rainfall recorded by Mr A. E. Hedges, Diocesan Secretary, between .9 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. yesterday, was 4.83 inches—the heaviest recorded for'many years.
The rainfall at Brightwater between 9 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. yesterday was 3.40 inches, and at Waimea West 3.63 inches. This brings the total rainfall at Waimea West since January Ist to 29 inches, which is 4 inches more than the total for 1914. Last year the rainfall recorded at Waimea West was 33 inches.
