RETURNED SOLDIERS.

Wellington, July 20. Tlio Defence Department states that the .steamer Rotoniia, is duo from Loridon at Auckland to-morrow with 56 invalided soldiers aboard. It was originally intended that soldiers resident outside Auckland province would proceed to Wellington with the steamer, but, as the vessel ■will (be delayed some days in Auckland, it has been decided to' send soldiers for the Wellington district and the South Island by train.
