THE BOMBARDIERS.
At a committee meeting of the Wood Bombardiers last evening, it was decided to be represented in the procession on Monday evening. Arrangements were advanced in connection with Paddy's Market. A dance will be held in the Provincial Hall on Wednesday, the 26th inst. Lists were completed, and the final call on residents of this ward will be made ■within the next few days. : Mr J. Richards presented a model of [ a full-rigged ship in glass case, and iMr F. W. Fairey offered to have a prize bullock penned for a guessing competition. A party from the Wood Ward visited Wakapuaka on Thursday evening and gave a concert in the Foresters' Hall. The party consisted of Misses Joyce (2), Hanby and Jacobs, and Messrs G. Bush, McLachlan and Lints. The hall was filled with residents, and a most enjoyable evening was spent, the performers being heartily applauded. Mr Evans explained the Silver Bulletscheme in an able manner. Mv Lints gave a.splendid exhibition of jugglery, club swinging,, etc. Mr George Dodson thanked the performers for their visit, and hoped they would come out again.
