THE KNOBBY GORDONS.

The Doveclale branch of the Knobby Gordons met on the. evening of the 12th inst., and niado final arrangements for a thorough 'canvass.of. the district. Delegates to Tapawera headquarters reported on the meeting held that afternoon at Tapawera.

It was decided to change the time of meeting to Tuesdays ,at 8 p.m. All members of the army are specially invited to bo present next Tuesday, the 18th inst.

Messrs. IV Loveridge, Cas. Burnett, and Nolan Hawkes were appointed to organise a rabbit and hare shooting party in aid of Paddy's Market.

The folloAving resolutions were passed:— *

That the idea of the Rangers' concert be not entertained.

That the concert and dance arranged for at last meeting take place on the 28th inst.

As the local branch is anxious to uphold the generous patriotic spirit of the district, it is to be hoped everyone for miles round will respond to the effort.
