FINANCE

. The bank pass book showed the following balances:—Cr.: General ac~ 22S?' p6U- ,18s T 7d; fixed deposit, £900. Receipts: June, 1916, £368 17s od a S against £295 19s 6d for June, 1915; since Ist April. £976 18s sd, as .against £1064 8s lid; monthly aver■af' ,f 32b I2s 10<*> as against £354 lbs 4d.

Accounts arnountir^j to £145 9 S 8d were passed for payment.

CORRESPONDENCE.

Amongst the letters dealt with were the following:—

• x? 1^ 16 Minister of Railways, stating that he would give a reply in a day or two to the Board's request to extend the .Board's option to purchase the N P i. son wharves.

The Harbourmaster (Captain H.
