A copy, of the "Munich Post" was confiscated for publishing details of the hunger riots. It showed that citizens, faced with a dinnerless Sunday, paraded the streets on Saturday and *" chased a food corporal who had taken refuge in a shop. The shop was wrecked and the cafes plundered.

Troops vyith fixed bayonets cleared the streets, many people being wounded.
