THE STRUGGLE FOR THIAUMONT.

POSITION HELD BY THE FRENCH

LYING GERMAN REPORTS

All reports prove that the Germans., are lying about Thiaumont. The same falsehood was told about Douaumont.

The French captured Thiaurront at ten o'clock on Friday morning. The Germans entered Thiaumont at three in the afternoon, and remained ninety minutes.

The Germans in the evening made a series of furious attacks and re-took the position, which the French on Saturday morning again captured.

The Germans all day bombarded Thiaumont without result.
