SUPPLIES OF MUNITIONS
STRONG POSITION OF BRITAIN
AND FRANCE,
New York, April 16.
A representative jaf the Pierpont Morgan firm, after a visit to Britain,
declares that the orders for immense supplies of munitions given to C'.nited •States firms early in the war will not be continued, because England and France are now manufacturing on such a scale as to be independent of the United States. He adds that the European countries themselves will do the reconstruction work after the war, converting the munition factories for
that purpose
