'An iriquest concerning the deatli of Horarin i'amsden, who was murdered on Sauirfi.iy night, was onened to-day Tho yuunger brother of the deceased .said he last saw him alive at about 6.30 p.m. on Saturday, when lie was in his usual health and" strength. He said he was going out. Witness asked him where he was going. He replied, "Mind your own business." The coroner decided-'to adjourn the inquest, sine die to enable the polico to investigate.
Those vho ' are acquainted with Ramsdey .ure at: a cnmpJesfce ■loss-tp^ac-count .'or his being " mixed Vup ; with anything that would lead '.to -such' a tragedy. 'Fo is described ,• as . a very quiet, inofaensive young ~majn. As for' the motive of the, crime, one can only speculate. A letter from a female acquaintance was found on the body, but it made no mention of an appointment. None of the pockets of deceased's clothing had beeii disturbed," which suggests that the motive was not robbery. The must persistent theory is that Ramsden was probably hi the company of the female, when .someone intervened, and that a struggle which ensued lpd to the tisf of the deadly knife. When ho left hmnc at 6.30 p.m. on Saturday he told his mother that he was going to meet someone, but did not mention any name.
