ACKNOWLEDGED BY WOUNDED
SOLDIERS
It will give satisfaction to the chil-i dren of Havt-lock, as well as to their! parwnts (sa.v.s the "Guardian"), to know that vho parcels sent to Egypt i two of thrto months ago have fallen into the hands of grateful soldiers. Several acknowledgments have been received by the children from the recipients, of which the following are samples:— "Dear Friend, —As I was the recipient of the bag and cigarettes. I write a few lines to show my appreciation for your kind thoughts for the boys fighting for a good cause. As luck would have it I happened to be a 'Tommy,' but enjoying a decent time in the New Zealanders' hospital; so wishing you the best of health, and hoping you won't forget the h^s in the trenches, —I remain, A Friend." "Just a card, thanking you for the presents which I Jiave fortunately become possessed oL I have great satisfaction in the use of same and -shall"Ji keep them as memeMotis.
