Mr. James Douglas, in the "Dailyi News," states that a 17-inch naval gun; was used to shell Dunkirk. One expert said that the 17-inch guns, would re-* quiro special ships, and it was ridiculous to suggest that they could be put on ships built for 15-inch guns.
Mr. Spencer, Wilkinson declares, that the British and German Admiralties are using every resource science offers to outdo one another. The only test which* the Admiralty could have more 'thorough would be a battle
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is delighted with the fact that the Germans will! try the alleged 17-inch gun. He says: "Supposing we are still restricted to the 15-inch guns, I undertake thrtk three of our shells will get home for every two by the Germans.''
