We strongly recommend immediate consignments of choice dessert ant] cooking apples. At the present mo nient these have >a good demand. Choice dessert peaches and apricots aro also in 1, good request. Values ruling to-day are as follows:—
Apples: Choice dessert 8s 6d to 9s, cooking 6s to 6s 3d. Tomatoes: Choico half-green 3s 9d to 4s 3d, coloured 2s 6d to 3s.
Apricots: Large 4s 6d to 5s dd, small 2s 6d to 3s. . Peaches: Choico dessert 5s 3d to 5s 9d, others 2s 6d to 3s 6d. Plums: Blue Diamond 2s 6d to 3s 3<L Burbank large 3s. Gd to 4s.Cd. Greengages 4s to 4s 6d. ■.
Nectarines: Choice 3s 6d to 4s. Passionfruit 9s to 10s. Raspberries: Choico dry 6s to 7s, others 3s 6d to 5s per bucket. Cape gooseberries 5d to 6d per lb. Grapes: Choice largo Is per lb. Pears: Williams' Bon Chretien 4s to 5s per half-case. Poultry • Hens 3s 6d to 4s per pair, cockerels 4s to 65,. Ayleshurv and Pekin ducks 7s to Bs, • '■'lndiai'f" Runner clucks 4s Od to os 6d, turkeys, gobblers lid to Is, hens lOd per lb, live-weight. Eggs: Fresh Is 6d to Is 7d per dozen, preserved Is 3d.
