Hares are never eaten by Spaniards, because in Spain there is a superstition that hares, in the night, visit churchyards, burrow into the graves, and eat the dead bodies. There are few paupers in Japan. Everybody works, and it is considered a disgrace to be-supported by your relatives while you have the ability to cam your own living.
