FLOWER SHOW AT MOTUEKA.

Under the auspices of the St. Thomas's Church Ladies' Guild a bulb was held in the Anglican Schoolroom, Motueka, on Saturday last. With a few exceptions, the bulbs were not well grown, but the decorative and other classes were excellent. The total takings amounted to i*.l7 ss, a:i-l *«lf <jf this goes to the Red Cross tiyatie."' of the St. John Ambulance Association. In the decorative work, judged by public vote, the mantelpiece was won by Miss Turner; decorated table, MissCorkhill ; and children's decorated table, M/idge Rankin and Gertrude Mander. Misses Turner and Wvatt were in charge of the sweet stall, and took aboui £7. An afternoon tea stall in charge of Miss Ellis, Mesdameß Lowe, McCalltirn and Thorp, and nearly £5 was netted by this means. The general committee consisted of Misses Stoddart and Tarrant, Mesdames Jaques and Mander. Mrs. R. W. Percy made an efficient secretary, and iis to be congratulated on the success of the show.
