Mrs James Robinson, of Britannia Heights, met with a serious accident at the Port yesterday evening, through accidentally falling over the sea wall in the darkness. She had /returned from town at about a quarter to 7, arid when about '?0 yards past the freezing'works, where she generally leaves her bicycle, she walked over the wall. After some time a lad named Louis Ltikins, who lives opposite the place, heard sounds indicating that someone was in distress, and found Mrs Robinson on the shingle. Assistance was obtained, and she was removed from whore she had fallen. The- police telephoned for medical aid, and Dr. Be-tti attended and ordered Mrs Robinson to be conveyed to the Hospital, and she was taken there in the ambulance van. She was badly bruised, particular^- about the head,, and much shaken, and leceived-injuries to cno or two of tlie nhs.. This is the1 third accident of the -kind that, has' occurred in W-comparatrapiy.'-brief,period. ;--at- -.this spot, where there is a drop of about Bft and the neted for a lamp and protecting chains there has -been frequently pointed out.
