LOYAL HOWARD LODGE, M.U.1.0.0.F.
A meeting; of the above lodge was held at the lodge room, Waimea street, on Wednesday evening la^t, there being a fair number of members present. The balatice-shee-j and auditors' report was presented to tho lodge. The Sick and Funeral Fund, after payment of £275 15s sick pay for the half-year, has a crodit balance of £7805 18s sd.
The Management Fund has a credit balance of £97 10s 4d.. The sum of £36 5s ]]d was paid over to the District Widows' and Orphans' Fund. The Distress .Fund bar, a balance to credit of £14 Bs. 6d. The Lodge Surplus Fund has increased during tho lialfyeav, and now has a credit balance of £3914 os. This lodge still maintains a most satisfactory financial position having a total capital of £11,832" 2s 3d. The Deputy Provn-oial Grand Master of the District, Rro. William Liddle, paid an official visit to the lodge, and was warmly welcomed by the- members. Tha following officers wore duly installed by D.PG.M. Bro. W. LiddleGM., Bro. K. M. Black, W.G., Bro. Wm. McConchie; V.G., Bro. 4 R Creed; E.S., Bro. VV K. Brown. Tho surgeon, Dr. F. A. Bett, the treasurer Bviy. Wm. Moyes, and i:ho permanent secretary, Bro. A. N. Batchelor, still retam their respective positions.
