CADET COMPETITION
The Cadet shooting competition for the Nelson prize fund was held on tho Toi Toi Valley range on Saturday, and . proved a great success, fo:ty-fivo Cadets taking part. No. 1 match consisted of five shots grouping at 100 yards and live shots snap, 5 seconds exposure, at 200 jards. This match was won by Sergeant Harriett, of Nelson College Oadets, with the fine score of 40 out of a possible 45. No 2 match consisted of 10 shots rapid, time allowed one, minute. This match was won by Private S. C. Higgins, of 53 Company Senior Cadets, with the splendid performance of 33 out of a. possible of 40. The afternoon was chilly and dull and the. light bad.
