WELSH MINERS' STRIKE.

OUTLOOK MORE HOPEFUL.

MINISTERS', VISIT TO CARDIFF

LIMITATION OF COAL PRICES

London, July 19. The Welsh strike outlook is more hopeful. Members of the Executive were about to leave Cardiff for London, it is believed to bring a new suggestion for settlement, when Mr Runciman stopped the deputation.

Subsequently, as an outcome of a Cabinet decision, Mr. Lloyd George, accompanied by Mr. Runciman and Mr. Arthur Henderson, left for Cardiff.

In the House of Commons, Mr Runciman moved the Coal Limitation of Prices Bill, and it was read a second time.

Sir J. Walton moved its rejection, on the ground that it penalised one industry and allowed other huge profit-mak-ing industries to go free.
