The meeting of the Lady Liverpool Committee held yesterday afternoon was well attended", find Mrs W. Angus, who had been appointed a buying -x>nimittee, reported that ■flannel was unprocui.'ihlo for linings, bu'/ samples of a suitable tweed wore shown, and it was decided to bny sufficient of this to make linings for .133 jackets. It was resolved that iJie local tailors be asked to confer with members of the committee next Monday inght, u-nd that' a small band of workers bo chosen to complete a few jackets, the-so to bo approved of ?n the Defence- Department beforn the work is continued.

The larger working hoes will nob commence till Monday, July I.2th, a week later than was at first intended.
