Hastings, June 14. Martin Hullett, a draper's assistant, aged 20, was motor cycling on Railway road last night, when he collided with "a trap. He sustained injuries which resulted in his death an hour later.

Dunedin, June 13. John Robert Hawkins, aged 24, a tailor by occupation, living with his parents at Port Chalmers, was found dead in his room on Saturday night under conditions pointing to suicide. The top of his •skull "was .blown off, and a .303 rifle was found beside him osi the iloor. The- deceased went to Trentham Camp last February, and whilst there met with an accident, and Mas invalided homo. He afterwards tried to rejoin the Expeditionary Force, but it is understood that he was unsuccessful, and his rejection appears to have- rendered him despondent.
