PATRIOTIC ENTERTAINMENT.

A final reminder is given of the grand patriotic entertainment to bo given at the Empire Theatre this evening in aid of the Sick and Wounded Soldiers' Fund. From the programme, which appears in another column, it .will be seen that Mr. H. Saunders has secured a fine collection of topical subjects, including a special film, "H.M.S. New Zealand," snowing scenes in the daily life cf the men of the Dominion's gift ship. Speeches will be made by the Bishop of Nelsen, the Rev. Father Finnerty, the Mayor (Mr. C. J. Harley), and Mr. T. A. H. Field, M.P., and a choir will lead the singing of the various National Anthems of the Allies, while the Band of the 12th Regiment will -play the descriptive fantasia, "A Soldier's Life." The booking is already heavy, and a crowded house may be expected. The prices of admission are 2s and Is.
