DARING AFFAIR AT MELBOURNE

A daring daylight robbery was perpetrated at Drummond's jewellery premises in Collins street at ten o'clock this morning. A man smashed the window with a muffled mallet, and an accomplice seized a tray of diamond rings valued at £3000, and rushed through the Royal Hotel. One held up pursuers with a revolver, while the other locked a door leading into Fleming Place. Both
