Dunrobin Castle was partly burned down through the fusing of an electric wire. The pictures and furniture were
saved
A number of wounded tsoldiers were removed timeously.
Dunrobin Castle is the Duke of Sutherland's seat, on the Sutherland coast, near Golspie.
