Mercer and Son inconnection with the Tahuna gala in aid of tho Belgian Relief Fund took place yesterday morning. The number of the machine was 379,329, and tho nearest guess recorded was 379,451, by L. Ward (Nelson). The total sum realised by the sale oT bicycle tickets was £18 14s. SOCK FUND. In compliance with a letter received yasterday from_ Lady Liverpool, the executive committee of the-Lady. Liver-' pool Fund are forwarding 500 pairs of socks to Wellington for the use of Nelson soldiers on,active service. Sis hundred pairs were sent_ previously. This will provide the men with two pairs of socks each. These socks were given in response to th© special appeal made by Lady Liverpool some time ago. RED CROSS FUND. The following donations are acknow]«dg;ed :—Bfook street, per Mrs. Brundell, for May and June, £4 2s 3d; men's Red Cross golf match; entrance fees £2; R.F.H. ss. PLUNKET SOCIETY. Mrs. Rogers acknowledges contributions and donations from the following towards the Baby Clothing F.und for the Wives of Soldiers and Sailors in England:—St. Cuthbert's Guild, Collingwood (second contribution) ; ladies of Puponga (third contribution); Mrs. Yon Stunner; O. Yon Stunner; M. Simpson; Mrs. Hugh Pearless ; Mrs Toms (monthly contribution of 2s 6d); Mrs. Crawford; Mrs. C. J. Harley- P.8.C.5.; Miss Ledger; Miss McEachen; Mrs. Morris 2s 6d.
